What is a Runabout boat?

A runabout is any small motorboat holding between four and nine people, well suited to moving about on the water. Runabouts can be used for racing, for pleasure activities like fishing and water skiing, or as a ship's tender for larger vessels. Runabouts are most commonly used for recreation and can be left at the cottage on a dock or trailered from place to place. Some common runabout boats are bow rider boats, center console boats, deck boats and walk around boats.
